This powerful agricole will challenge your preconceptions of white rhum. Another of the rhum world’s experiments with cultivar and terroir, this is distilled from blue cane harvested at the peak of its maturity to maximize the plantís saccharines. On the nose this is creamy and herbal, with a purity of flavour and concentrated cane sweetness on the palate; hot at full strength, yes, but dissipating into fresh herbs with a long, lazy menthol finish. Not for the faint of heart but the reward is a surprisingly complex new make spirit.
