A blend of rums aged between three and five years, this is a hidden value when it comes to spirits, putting paid to the stereotype of sweet, cloying rums with its dry, austere palate of leather, dark chocolate, dried orange peels, nutmeg and tobacco leaf. Any sweetness that does seep through is held in check by oak tannins and black licorice notes on the finish. A delicate yet satisfying sipper that will appeal to those who prefer their spirits on the dry side.
